The VA Learning University (now the Employee Education System (EES), Pathways Internship Program Development, and Pathways Program Management Office (PPMO) required support to stand up, staff, and sustain a centralized VA PPMO providing VA-wide governance, strategic planning, administration, project management, continuous process improvement, internal and external communications, marketing and change management for Pathways Internship programs.
On a Prime contract, AMSG developed requirements for standing up the VA internship management program formally known as the Pathways Program Office. AMSG gathered key requirements for the program from the VA Pathways Program stakeholders and relevant VA offices. We collected data on current processes, functions, forms, tools, databases, tracking, and reporting systems. We assisted Government stakeholders in determining best practices to be adopted or further developed for use in the centralized Pathways Program Office. AMSG worked with the Partnership for Public Service, DOD, State Department, USDA, and several other federal agencies to create the definitive federal Government Pathways Handbook containing the business requirements, policies, rules, and processes for successful Pathways implementation. We identified and implemented performance measures to drive continuous improvement for the program and deliver a highly qualified federal workforce. At its conclusion, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) recognized AMSG’s efforts as critical to their work and expansion.
