Advanced Management Strategies Group, Inc. (AMSG) announced April 24, 2022 that they are proud to support the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Virginia (GFWC Virginia) in reaching their goal of raising $35,000 for the Armed Services YMCA to purchase a bus to transport children of military families to daily childcare.

GFWC Virginia partnered with the Nation’s oldest military service organization to raise funds for critical early education and childcare transportation at the Armed Services YMCA Hampton Roads Branch. AMSG understands how important childcare is to a service member:

Childcare is ESSENTIAL to the mission readiness of the service member, the employment of the military spouse, financial stability, and food security, and to the ongoing development of the military child.  This is why the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs Virginia is helping the Armed Services YMCA of Hampton Roads raise funds to purchase a bus for their various transportation needs for their early education and school-age programs.

As the Nation’s oldest military service organization, the Armed Services YMCA provides programs and services that are focused on strengthening military families through youth enrichment initiatives, family support systems, providing a hand up during challenges and honoring the impact of service.

AMSG is donating over $6,700 to get the GFWC Virginia to completion of their goal.

Jim O’Farrell, AMSG’s President & CEO said the following “AMSG is thrilled to support GFWC Virginia and the Armed Services YMCA as they initiate a new service providing transportation to military families allowing the parents to  seek job opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. At AMSG we understand that military families need safe, affordable, transportation options to childcare so that they can focus on the mission, whether the mission is a military member on deployment, or a military spouse seeking employment to earn an income and support their families, and/or advancing their careers and dreams. In a nutshell, we can draw a direct line from the purchase of a bus to the strengthening of our nation.”
