AMSG’s International Philanthropy Program recently took 11 of our team members on a journey to Honduras, where they supported One Thousand Schools. One Thousand Schools is an international NGO that aims to alleviate extreme poverty and violence in Honduras through education and youth empowerment.
Working alongside local community members, our AMSG volunteers were deeply involved in restoring an existing school and helping to expand another existing school. They helped paint classrooms and exteriors and helped construct an extension to create better learning environments and additional space for the Honduran children to learn. The teamwork and dedication displayed by our team members is nothing short of inspiring, as they embraced a new climate and culture, and contributed hands-on skills to a cause that will have a lasting impact on these communities.
The experience was not only a chance to improve educational facilities, but also a testament to AMSG’s commitment to global outreach and community support. It underscored the power of collective effort in driving meaningful change and reinforced our dedication to making a positive difference around the world. The memories and accomplishments from this volunteer trip will undoubtedly continue to inspire our AMSG team and strengthen our resolve to support important causes and organizations like One Thousand Schools.
