AMSG provides support to the Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), formerly known as TRADOC, Enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) and Data & Analytics Program. The goal of the Program is to create and implement the T2COM Data and Analytics and KM strategy and improve organizational performance by establishing an environment and culture that efficiently shares knowledge, leverages data/content, and continuously innovates and improves work and business processes. The Program effectively harnesses the critical relationship between people, process, and technology in the context of the organizational structure to create, apply, organize, and transfer know-how, experience, and expertise to support organizational learning and timely decision-making.
The TRADOC and later T2COM Command Sergeant Major (CSM), as part of their role, is responsible for the advocacy and nomination of eligible CSMs. To support this process, the CSM requires highly detailed comments and data from subordinate units on the CSMs under their authority. Prior to December 2025, the comments related to individuals and movement within the command were part of a very manual process, requiring the TRADOC G1 to collect this information through spreadsheets and email data calls to subordinates.
The AMSG team, in support of the T2COM KMSS contract, was tasked with building an automated method for this data collection, enabling subordinate units to submit comments in a centralized location and providing automated data ingestion to identify CSMs across different statuses. To accomplish this, the team created a dashboard that brings together four Army Systems of Record (SORs) to provide detailed information on CSMs in the nominative process, currently assigned CSMs, projected gaining CSMs, projected losses of CSMs, and vacant authorizations where these CSMs can be aligned. The application also supports input from various subordinate commands to facilitate a clean and centralized data collection methodology.
