DHS GSA PBS required services to the DHS to perform an Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) of the technology products, services, and systems installed during the construction and renovation of the St. Elizabeth’s (St. E’s) campus, the largest federal infrastructure project undertaken since the construction of the Pentagon, under the DHS Technology Integration Project (TIP).
On a Prime Contract, AMSG provided IV&V and Transition support. AMSG validated that the Program Management processes were well documented and practiced. We reviewed all technical and engineering deliverables to ensure they complied with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. To ensure the processes were sound and complete, AMSG addressed all requirements in the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and independently reported the results of testing efforts, including verifying the operational, functional, integration, and performance testing. Testing discrepancies were reported, along with recommendations and corrective actions. We conducted on-site verification to ensure the TIP contractor used industry best practices and complied with all DHS IT security system standards. We reviewed all processes implemented by the DHS TIP contractor; document submittals, quality assurance inspections, test program activities, procurement activities, and status reports submitted to the Government by the DHS TIP contractor.
