When AMSG’s VA contract supporting the Office of Information & Technology (OIT), Investment Oversight and Reporting Branch (IORB) was not awarded its option year, our leadership team responded quickly and strategically to support affected team members. Rather than viewing the contract’s conclusion as an endpoint, AMSG approached it as an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the people who make our success possible.

Through close coordination between corporate leadership, program managers, and customer-facing teams, Angela Lee and Tracy Baugh led a focused effort to identify open positions and align skills across programs. Their dedication resulted in 80% of impacted personnel being successfully transitioned to other active AMSG contracts, ensuring continuity for valued team members such as Meerna Hamden, Megan Seal, Thomas McNulty, and Konstance Thomas.

This collaborative response illustrates what it means to live AMSG’s Core Values, especially Compassion and Community, and reflects a culture that prioritizes people even in times of change. It also highlights the depth and diversity of AMSG’s portfolio, which enables us to create new opportunities and retain skilled professionals across multiple programs and customers.

“ In today’s challenging job market and with the uncertainty that often comes with federal contracts, I feel truly grateful for the opportunity to transition seamlessly to another contract. Having lost my husband just a few months prior, I couldn’t imagine facing yet another major life event. I will forever be grateful for AMSG’s compassion and unwavering commitment to its employees.”

While contract transitions are an inevitable part of the government contracting landscape, AMSG’s focus remains steady: to support our customers’ missions and care for the people who deliver them. By staying connected, communicating openly, and acting decisively, we continue to keep AMSGers “home” whenever possible, forging solutions for the missions that matter.
