Do you live in the D.C. Metro Area? Do you like stand-up comedy?! Would you like to support the people of Ukraine!?!

AMSG is thrilled to be sponsoring an in-person comedy night to benefit Ukraine – organized by AMSG’s own Ivi Demi.

Date/Time: Thursday, February 23rd at 8 PM (This is the anniversary of the invasion, technically the 24th, but it will already be the 24th in Ukraine at the time of the show)

Location: The Crown and Crow – 1317 14th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20005

Tickets: $20 – Available on Eventbrite or via Ivi’s website www.ividemi.com

All money raised will be going toward renovations of the ProEnglish Theatre in Kyiv, Ukraine, a comedy and performance art venue that specializes in English-speaking plays and performances, where actors can try their hand at practicing and learning in English while they prepare for their performances.

According to Ivi, “We are hoping to assist them with generator purchases and repairs, general repairs around their theatre from damage during the invasion, and additional assistance with putting on plays and comedy nights at the location. We are planning to have some pre-recorded messages from the comedians, actors, and theater staff to play on a projector during the comedy show. In terms of donations, all the money from ticket sales will be going to the theater managers for distribution to repair funds and we will also be collecting money directly at the show via QR codes and cash from a Ukrainian contact of ours that will be present during the show.”
