On September 30, 2025, Team AMSG joined forces with the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) and Business Executives for National Security (BENS) at Arcadia Farm for a day that was about much more than vegetables. It was about connection — with the land, with one another, and with the larger mission of building community across sectors.

The day began under cloudy skies, the kind that made the air feel crisp and the soil smell rich. Three mixed groups set out across the fields, rolling up their sleeves and laughing as they harvested. By the time the work was done, more than 200 pounds of fresh vegetables had been gathered, along with stories, laughter, and even a little friendly competition about who picked the most.

For many, the highlight was simply stepping away from screens. As one participant put it, “It felt so good to get out from behind a computer and really help while in the great outdoors.” New faces quickly turned into new friends, as the rhythm of farm work opened space for genuine conversations that might never have happened in other places.

The harvest gave way to a shared table. Over lunch, the groups swapped reflections, swapped ideas, and swapped a few jokes. What lingered wasn’t just the taste of the food but the sense of camaraderie — of three communities (AMSG, BENS, and ASAP) finding common ground.

Arcadia has long been a place where AMSG brings our values of competence, courage, compassion, character, communication, and community to life.

Sometimes it starts with dirt on your hands, vegetables in a basket, and the joy of building something together.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to Arcadia Farm for hosting us, and to everyone who came together to make the day possible. This event didn’t just cultivate the farm,  it cultivated friendships, fresh perspectives, and the promise of future collaboration.
