Employee training offers benefits that enhance both individual and organizational performance. Training equips employees with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles and leads to increased productivity, higher job satisfaction, and a greater sense of confidence.   Within the organization, training programs help cultivate a culture of continuous learning, which aids in attracting and keeping high quality talent, and encourages professional growth and development.  AMSG recognizes these benefits and goes above and beyond to support and encourage team members by sponsoring a variety of training opportunities.

Through partnerships with amazing organizations such as Insperity, Educate360, the American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC), and more, AMSG team members have ready access to over 1000 training classes, courses, and certifications across a diverse subject matter. Training opportunities include self-paced and instructor-led offerings and are available online and in-person.  Over the last year, the AMSG team has completed over 50 formal courses and hundreds of hours of training.

For AMSG, training is not limited to online and in-classroom instruction.  Each month, AMSG coordinates Lunch & Learn workshops available to team members across the nation.  A bit less formal than traditional training, the Lunch & Learn opportunities allow team members to easily complete required training, learn about corporate efforts, and join in discussions on important issues ranging from mental health to investment strategies and parenting techniques.  The Lunch & Learn events encourage a unique blend of training that supports team members in the office, and in their personal lives, or both!

This is precisely the case with AMSG’s Mohamed Elhag.  Mohamed has been with AMSG for two years and currently serves on the team supporting the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  Mohamed has a passion for mathematics and science, and for that he credits his father.  “My father was a big influence. He’s the one who really taught me math and science when I was growing up.”  So much so that in high school, Mohamed was selected as the Physics Student of the Year and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Mohamed came onboard with AMSG in 2022 and has enjoyed ample opportunities to put his love for math and science to work supporting the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Veteran Affairs.  In 2024, recognizing Mohamed’s skills and interests, and the benefits they could provide to the organization, his manager, Mr. Michael Bouchard helped Mohamed find and enroll in a Data Analytics Certification through ECornell, the Cornell University online education department.  The certificate would support his day-to-day work with the FTC while having the added benefit of giving him greater knowledge and understanding of a subject he was already passionate about.  Mohamed jumped at the opportunity, and with Mr. Bouchard’s encouragement, requested AMSG support to take part in the certification program.

AMSG, recognizing the value of the certification, and the importance of supporting Team Members training goals, approved the request. Mohamed completed the three-month certification program consisting of challenging courses on statistical and scientific methods for data analysis through hands-on exercises and classroom instruction.  In October 2024, he earned his Data Analytics Certification, and he quickly put his skills to work supporting the FTC.  His efforts to analyze datasets related to office utilization and workplace attendance rates, parking requirements, and business operations are key to the FTC’s ability to optimize business processes and reduce inefficiencies.

In the few short months since certification, he has gained greater insight and understanding of the work he performs in support of the FTC.  Mohamed’s success is the result of his hard work and commitment to learning and growth and makes it easy to see why he is an indispensable asset for the AMSG team and the support they provide to the FTC mission.

Mohamed’s story is just one of many success stories at AMSG and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to employee training.  Whether through formal courses, self-paced learning, or engaging Lunch & Learn sessions, AMSG continues to build a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that its team members stay motivated, knowledgeable, and equipped to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving business environment.
