Leveraging Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Knowledge Management best practices, AMSG streamlined processes that once required hours into an automated system that refreshes multiple times per day.

Collaboration & Execution

Success hinged on early visualization and stakeholder engagement:

Established a Teams chat with 13 key stakeholders for real-time collaboration.
Overcame challenges of integrating data from G1, Weather Detachment, ACLC, ARTS, and CG’s calendar—each managed under separate contracts.
Delivered a Common Operational Picture (COP) without adding workload to stakeholders—only minor tweaks were needed.

Challenge

The Commanding General’s Aide-de-Camp previously spent hours each day manually assembling a situational awareness slide. This fragmented workflow required:

Pulling key events from the CG’s Outlook calendar and updating a 90-day “Big Rock” Excel visual
Visiting multiple SharePoint sites to capture Power BI snippets from ACLC and ARTS
Building a custom table for aviation training status
Inserting weather data delivered via email from the G3 Weather Detachment

This manual, multi-system process consumed significant time and introduced opportunities for data errors and delays.

Solution

AMSG delivered a fully integrated, automated dashboard—originally expected to take three months—in just two weeks. This new capability consolidates all required data into a single SharePoint page optimized for large-screen display.
