Mid-Level SharePoint Specialist




AMSG is seeking a Mid-Level SharePoint Specialist with the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA), Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) Office of Registrar (OOR)

General Description: 
The Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with Microsoft SharePoint 2013, Excel, Word, Access, and InfoPath.  Candidate should have experience in training analysis, solutions definition, business and budget analysis and development of organizational performance management metrics.  The Candidate must be able to compile information for presentations and reporting. The Candidate must be able to communicate effectively on an executive level in writing memos, preparing presentations, and developing reports. Experience with the management of the training delivery process in a large, complex organization is a plus.

Specific Duties:
  • Design and develop MS SharePoint Sites, SharePoint Wikis, MS Excel, MS InfoPath Forms, Visio flow diagrams, SharePoint Designer workflows in support of the customer’s requirements
  • Support Facilitation of online meetings and training sessions with customers and stakeholders
  • Participate in Requirements Gathering activities
  • Support management of SharePoint-based requirements traceability matrix (RTM)
  • Capture and manage change requests in SharePoint
  • Draft correspondence to obtain approvals for Training requests
  • Design and maintain data view web parts in SharePoint Designer to filter and display KPIs
  • Demonstrate ability to use calculated HTML to display KPIs
  • Develop and maintain workflows in SharePoint Designer
  • Compile, Analyze, and report on Training Requirement Requests using MS SharePoint, Access Database, and InfoPath Forms
  • Develop enhancements to out of the box SharePoint capabilities using JavaScript, XSLT, and CSS code
  • Monitor and Respond to requests from a Group Mailbox
  • Create Presentations/Briefings in Microsoft PowerPoint for VA Program Management Office and VA Leadership staff
  • Create meeting minutes as required
  • Support creation of training documentation
  • Create process flow diagrams for review by project team
  • Support development and maintenance of a Project Master Schedule

  • Microsoft SharePoint 2013: Site Administration and Design – Advanced
  • Microsoft SharePoint Designer: Data view web parts and Workflows – Intermediate
  • Microsoft Visio - Intermediate
  • Microsoft InfoPath: Form Design – Intermediate
  • Microsoft Excel: Data manipulation, pivot tables – Advanced
  • JavaScript, XSLT, CSS coding and HTML – Basic
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
